Senator Paul S. Sarbanes, Chairman of the Committee on Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs, has announced that the full Committee will hold a hearing on a number of pending nominations to various agencies under the Committee's jurisdiction. The Committee will also vote on five pending nominations.

• Sheila C. Bair, of Kansas, to be Assistant Secretary of the Treasury for Financial Institutions; and
• Mark B. McClellan, of California, to be a Member of the Council of Economic Advisors

The Committee will also vote on the following nominations:

• Roger W. Ferguson, Jr., of Massachusetts, to be a Member of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System;
• Donald E. Powell, of Texas, to serve as the Chairman of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation;
• Angela Antonelli, of Virginia, to be Chief Financial Officer of the Department of Housing and Urban Development;
• Jennifer Dorn, of Nebraska, to be Federal Transit Administrator; and
• Donald Rosenfeld, of Maryland, to be President of the Government National Mortgage Association (GINNIE MAE)
