Senator Jack Reed (D-RI), Chairman of the Subcommittee on Housing and Transportation, has announced that the Subcommittee will conduct an oversight hearing on the FHA Multifamily Housing Mortgage Insurance Program. The hearing will address how the Federal Housing Administration (FHA) will continue to serve low and moderate income families through its multifamily insurance programs, focusing on the impact of the recent increase in FHA multifamily mortgage insurance premiums; the accuracy pf credit subsidy rates for FHA multifamily mortgage insurance programs, and whether there is a need for an increase in FHA multifamily insurance loan limits.
