COMMITTEE TO RECEIVE ANNUAL REPORT OF
TRADE PROMOTION COORDINATING COMMITTEE


Senator Paul S. Sarbanes, Chairman of the Committee on Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs, has announced that the full Committee will hold a hearing on the annual report of the Trade Promotion Coordinating Committee (TPCC).

The TPCC is made up of all agencies of the federal government involved in export promotion and is chaired by the Secretary of Commerce. Its purpose is to coordinate and develop a strategy for U.S. export promotion and export financing programs.

The hearing will provide an opportunity for the five core agencies of the TPCC -- the Commerce Department, Export-Import Bank, Small Business Administration, Overseas Private Investment Corporation, and the Trade and Development Agency - to present a report to Congress on the TPCC's National Export Strategy.

The hearing will be held:
