BANKING COMMITTEE CONTINUES EFFORTS
TO APPROVE BUSH ADMINISTRATION NOMINEES


The Senate Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs Committee today unanimously approved two nominees for Assistant Secretary positions at the Department of Housing and Urban Development.

A nominations hearing was held on December 18 and the Committee met today and approved the following:

  • Ms. Vickers B. Meadows, of Virginia, to be an Assistant Secretary of Housing and Urban Development; and


  • Ms. Diane L. Tomb, of Virginia, to be an Assistant Secretary of Housing and Urban Development.

    • The nominations now go before the full Senate for consideration.
