BANKING COMMITTEE TO HEAR FROM EXPERTS ON
ECONOMIC GROWTH AND EMPLOYMENT ISSUES

WILL FOLLOW FEDERAL RESERVE CHAIRMAN'S TESTIMONY
BEFORE COMMITTEE


Senator Paul S. Sarbanes (D-MD), Chairman of the Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs Committee, will bring a panel of prominent experts before the Committee to hear their views on the U.S. economic outlook, and obtain their recommendations for the appropriate policies to promote economic growth and employment. The testimony will follow the appearance of Federal Reserve Board Chairman Alan Greenspan before the Committee on March 7, where he is scheduled to deliver his semi-annual report on monetary policy.
