Senator Paul S. Sarbanes (D-MD), Chairman of the Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs Committee, today announced that the Committee members voted unanimously in support of two nominees to the National Credit Union Administration Board.

Approved by the Committee were:

• The Honorable JoAnn Johnson, of Iowa; and
• Ms. Deborah Matz, of New York.

A nominations hearing was held on March 14th and Sarbanes indicated that he would try and move the nominations as quickly as possible. The two nominees now go before the full Senate for likely approval.
