Senator Paul S. Sarbanes (D-MD), Chairman of the Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs Committee, announced that the full Committee will hold a hearing on the Annual National Export Strategy Report of the Trade Promotion Coordinating Committee (TPCC).
The TPCC, an interagency committee chaired by the Secretary of Commerce, is made up of all agencies of the federal government involved in export promotion. Its purpose is to coordinate and develop a strategy for U.S. export promotion and export financing programs.
The five core agencies of the TPCC - the Commerce Department, Export-Import Bank, Small Business Administration, Overseas Private Investment Corporation, and the Trade and Development Agency - will appear before the Committee to present the TPCC's annual report.
The hearing will be held:
