Senator Paul S. Sarbanes (D-MD), Chairman of the Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs Committee, has announced that the full Committee will meet to discuss the Bush Administration's National Money Laundering Strategy for 2002. The Committee will examine the issues surrounding the coordination and focus of the federal anti-money laundering strategy a year after the passage of the Patriot Act. The Committee will also examine issues related to money-laundering strategy and the creation of the Department of Homeland Security.
