Sen. Phil Gramm, chairman of the Senate Committee on Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs, has announced that the committee will hold its organizational meeting at 10 a.m. Tuesday, January 19, in Room 215 of the Dirksen Building.

Members of the committee will formally approve organization of the five subcommittees and set rules for the committee. The members will also discuss a schedule for the committee's consideration of financial-services modernization, in keeping with Chairman Gramm's plans to hold a committee vote on the legislation by the end of February.
