GRAMM ANNOUNCES COMMITTEE HEARING
ON PUBLIC OWNERSHIP OF THE U.S. STOCK MARKETS

Sen. Phil Gramm, chairman of the Senate Committee on Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs today announced a full committee hearing regarding public ownership of the U.S. stock markets.

"The dramatic technology revolution that is changing the way our economy operates is driving the NYSE and Nasdaq to reinvent themselves to remain competitive," Gramm said.
