The Senate Committee on Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs today approved six nominations in a voice vote with no dissents. The nominations will have to be approved by the full Senate.
The nominees are: Roger W. Ferguson of Massachusetts as vice chairman of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve; John D. Hawke Jr. of Washington, D.C., as Comptroller of the Currency; Harry J. Bowie of Mississippi to be a member of the Board of Directors of the National Consumer Cooperative Bank; Armando Falcon of Texas to be director of the Office of Federal Housing Enterprise Oversight; and Dan H. Renberg of Maryland and Dorian Vanessa Weaver of Arkansas to be members of the Board of Directors of the Export-Import Bank.
