Senate Banking and Housing Committee Votes on Key Biden Administration Nominees

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH), Chairman of the U.S. Senate Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs, led the Committee in voting on a number of key Biden Administration nominees:

  • Mr. Arun Venkataraman, to be Assistant Secretary of Commerce and Director General of the United States and Foreign Commercial Service
  • Ms. Reta Jo Lewis, to be President of the Export-Import Bank of the United States
  • The Honorable Judith DelZoppo Pryor, to be First Vice President of the Export-Import Bank
  • Mr. Owen Edward Herrnstadt, to be a Member of the Board of Directors of the Export-Import Bank
  • Ms. Parisa Salehi, to be Inspector General, Export Import Bank
  • Mr. David Uejio, to be an Assistant Secretary of Housing and Urban Development
  • Ms. Elizabeth de Leon Bhargava, to be an Assistant Secretary of Housing and Urban Development
  • Ms. Julia Ruth Gordon, to be an Assistant Secretary of Housing and Urban Development
  • Mr. Solomon Jeffrey Greene, to be an Assistant Secretary of Housing and Urban Development
  • Mr. James Arthur Jemison, to be an Assistant Secretary of Housing and Urban Development
  • The Honorable Todd M. Harper, to be a Member of the National Credit Union Administration Board
  • Mr. Brian Michael Tomney, to be Inspector General of the Federal Housing Finance Agency                                    

Reta Jo Lewis was advanced by a vote of 13-11 and Todd Harper was advanced by a vote of 17-7. The votes on Arthur Jemison, Julia Gordon, David Uejio, and Solomon Greene were tied. All other nominees were advanced for full Senate consideration by voice vote.
