Executive Session and Combating Money Laundering and Other Forms of Illicit Finance: Administration Perspectives on Reforming and Strengthening BSA Enforcement
THE COMMITTEE ON BANKING, HOUSING, AND URBAN AFFAIRS will meet in EXECUTIVE SESSION to VOTE on the following nominations: The Honorable Jerome H. Powell, of Maryland, to be Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System; and The Honorable Randal Quarles, of Colorado, reappointment as a Member of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System. The Honorable Brian D. Montgomery, of Texas, to be Assistant Secretary for Housing – Federal Housing Commissioner, U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development; Mr. Robert Hunter Kurtz, of Virginia, to be Assistant Secretary for Public and Indian Housing, U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development; and Mr. David Ryder, of New Jersey, to be Director of the United States Mint. Following the EXECUTIVE SESSION, the Committee will meet in OPEN SESSION to conduct a hearing entitled, “Combating Money Laundering and Other Forms of Illicit Finance: Administration Perspectives on Reforming and Strengthening BSA Enforcement.” The witnesses will be The Honorable Sigal Mandelker, Under Secretary for Terrorism and Financial Crimes, U.S. Department of the Treasury; and Mr. M. Kendall Day, Acting Deputy Assistant Attorney General, Criminal Division, U.S. Department of Justice.
