THE COMMITTEE ON BANKING, HOUSING, AND URBAN AFFAIRS SUBCOMMITTEE ON NATIONAL SECURITY AND INTERNATIONAL TRADE AND FINANCE will meet in OPEN SESSION to conduct a hearing entitled, “Secondary Sanctions Against Chinese Institutions: Assessing Their Utility for Constraining North Korea.” The witnesses will be: Mr. Adam Szubin, Senior Practicioner in Residence, Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies, and Former Acting Secretary of the Treasury and Acting Under Secretary of the Treasury for Terrorism and Financial Crimes; and The Honorable Juan Zarate, Chairman of the Financial Integrity Network,Chairman and Senior Counselor of the Center on Sanctions and Illicit Finance, Former Deputy Assistant to the President and Deputy National Security Advisor for Combating Terrorism, and former Assistant Secretary of the Treasury for Terrorist Financing. Additional witnesses may be added at a later date.
