COMMITTEE ON BANKING, HOUSING, AND URBAN AFFAIRS SUBCOMMITTEE ON SECURITY AND INTERNATIONAL TRADE AND FINANCE will meet in OPEN SESSION to conduct a hearing entitled “The European Debt and Financial Crisis: Origins, Options and Implications for the US and Global Economy.” The witnesses will be: Mr. Nicolas Veron, Senior Fellow, Bruegel and Visiting Fellow, Peterson Institute for International Economics; Mr. Joachim Fels, Global Head of Economics, Morgan Stanley; and Mr. Dominico Lombardi, Senior Fellow, The Brookings Institution. Additional witnesses may be announced. All hearings are webcasted live and will not be available until the hearing starts.
