COMMITTEE ON BANKING, HOUSING, AND URBAN AFFAIRS SUBCOMMITTEE ON NATIONAL SECURITY AND INTERNATIONAL TRADE AND FINANCE and SUBCOMMITTEE ON ECONOMIC POLICY will meet in OPEN SESSION to conduct a hearing entitled “The Present and Future Impact of Virtual Currency”. The witnesses on Panel I will be: Ms. Jennifer Shasky Calvery, Director, Financial Crimes Enforcement Network; and Mr. David Cotney, Commissioner of Banks, Massachusetts Division of Banks. The witnesses on Panel II will be: Mr. Anthony Gallippi, Co-founder and CEO, BitPay, Incorporated; Ms. Mercedes Kelley Tunstall, Partner and Practice Leader, Privacy and Data Security Group, Ballard Spahr LLP; Ms. Sarah Jane Hughes, University Scholar and Fellow in Commercial Law, Indiana University Maurer School of Law; and Mr. Paul Smocer, BITS President, Financial Services Roundtable.
