Scott Statement on Clarity Act Vote
Washington, D.C. — Today, Senate Banking Committee Chairman Tim Scott (R-S.C.) issued the following statement: |
“Today, nearly all Senate Republicans voted to advance the Clarity Act, but the motion fell short because of Senate Democrats. We moved the ball forward, and now it’s time for the SEC and CFTC to set clear rules of the road for digital assets until Congress legislates. My focus remains on single moms and Americans living in poverty, like I did growing up. I’ll keep working to protect their hard-earned money and keep the future of finance here in America,” said Chairman Scott. |
