Scott Statement on Nomination of Stephen Miran to Federal Reserve Board

Washington, D.C. – Senate Banking Committee Chairman Tim Scott (R-S.C.) issued the following statement after President Donald Trump nominated Stephen Miran to the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System.

“Stephen Miran is an accomplished economist and has been instrumental in advising on economic policy and advancing a pro-growth agenda in his role as CEA Chair. I look forward to quickly considering his nomination in the Senate Banking Committee and hearing more about his plans to increase transparency and accountability at the Federal Reserve to ensure the agency prioritizes its mandate and avoids politics,” said Chairman Scott.
