Senator Warren Statement on December 2025 Jobs Report

Washington, D.C. – Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.), Ranking Member of the Senate Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs Committee released the following statement:

“Today’s report shows that more than 600,000 additional people are unemployed today than before President Trump took office. Job openings are falling and hiring is anemic. Job growth in 2025 was the weakest in over a decade, outside of the pandemic Instead of lowering costs like he promised, the second year of the Trump presidency is kicking off with a weaker job market and higher prices.”
