Senator Warren Statement on July 2025 PCE
Washington, D.C. – United States Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.), Ranking Member of the Senate Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs Committee released the following statement:
“President Trump promised to lower costs ‘on day one,’ but 221 days after he took office, American families are paying more for groceries, utilities, and health care as inflation rises under his watch. Instead of reversing his chaotic tariffs, tax cuts for the rich, and cruel immigration policies that are driving up costs for working families, Trump is looking for scapegoats. His illegal attempt to seize control of the Federal Reserve risks further driving up the cost of mortgages, credit cards, and auto loans, and increasing prices on everyday goods for Americans.”
