Warren Statement on Lisa Cook Supreme Court Decision

Washington, DC - United States Senator Elizabeth Warren, Ranking Member of the Senate Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs Committee, released the following statement:

“Even a Supreme Court stacked by Donald Trump agrees that his attempt to fire Lisa Cook was illegal. Donald Trump and his lackey Bill Pulte have now failed to fire former Chair Jerome Powell and Governor Cook. This case is a reminder that Pulte cannot be trusted and should be removed immediately as acting Director of National Intelligence and Director of FHFA. Trump’s effort to take over America’s central bank is far from over, and we will keep fighting back.”
